Simple, alternate leaves, oblanceolate in form. The tree, specially the young ones might have characteristic trilobate leaves.

In the submontane forests like those of the Cacao, Pailas, and San Cristobal sectors.

You can find individuals on the edges of the trails in the Cacao, Pailas and San Cristobal sectors.
